Biography
Dr. Eric Mabushi is Senior Operations Officer at IFC’s Fragile and Conflict-Affected Situations (FCS) Africa program, based in Dakar, Senegal. He is a regional FCS coordinator leading the IFC-FCS program in Western Africa fragile countries, including Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mali and The Gambia. Eric has over 20 years of diverse experience and has been with the World Bank Group (WBG) since 2005 working in various positions, including country economist at the World Bank in Burundi and Washington DC for five years. Prior to WBG, Dr. Mabushi has worked as researcher at the Social and Economic Research Institute (IRES) in Belgium and as a professor of economics in several universities in Burundi. Eric worked also as an international consultant for the United Nations focusing on economic infrastructure in the Great Lacs Region, Afric conomics and a Master of Arts in Macroeconomics from the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium.
