Sandy Burrell is Chartered Civil Engineer and a Director in WSP’s International Major Projects Team, based in London. He focuses upon projects Africa, where he has over 34 years of experience working in the UK and International, Construction and Development Sector. Amongst his previous experience he spent five years as Managing Director for Scott Wilson’s Consulting Engineering business in Angola.
He has a detailed knowledge of the planning and development of Infrastructure to support resource extraction and has led multi-disciplinary design teams on the planning and delivery of major railway, highway, port and airport infrastructure projects in Africa.
Sandy has planned and delivered projects in Angola, Mozambique, Guinea, Ethiopia, Equatorial Guinea and Cote d’Ivoire. He is currently Project Director for the design review and site supervision of the New Roberts International Airport Terminal in Monrovia, Liberia.
